On Thursday the 30th of January the students of the Master in Political Marketing and Communication and of our Full – Time MBA visited the Senate of the Italian Republic. Received by the Senator Cristiano Anastasi, our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the center of the Italian political activities.
The Senate is a legislative assembly which, together with the Chamber of Deputies, constitutes the Italian Parliament, made up of two chambers (Bicameral system) which perform the same functions equally, even if separately. The senators are 315 in total and hold a 5-year office.
Center of all the main movements of the Italian panorama, the Senate boasts an impressive structure, Palazzo Madama, a historic building in Rome, located in the homonymous Piazza Madama.
It was very important for the students to touch an Italian political reality with their own hands. One of the most dynamic environments of our country’s culture, and the hub of some of the most international social networking activities. Hence is not possible to fully understand the management of a country both internally and in terms of international relationships with foreigners, only through books or lessons, no matter how professional they are, but it is necessary to absorb the atmosphere and emotions that a political institution gives especially to those who see themselves as protagonists of this scene in the future.
Thanks to the advice and meeting with the Senator Cristiano Anastasi and through questions and insights regarding current affairs and the political context, students will return to class with a different and more concrete perspective of the national political context and international relations, ready to face all the challenges that a future job in this field holds.
Good luck!
