Rome Business School (RBS) is excited to share the triumph of our recent collaboration with Al Rayyan International University College (ARIU). This strategic alliance empowered us to curate and execute the highly successful RBS Bootcamp, focusing on “Doing Business in the Middle East.” Our mission is to provide tailored, innovative bootcamp programs for RBS students, offering a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights.
From November 5th to November 10th, 2023, the Doha Bootcamp unfolded, designed to meet the specific needs of students seeking practical skills in business, marketing, and management. Hosted at Al Rayyan International University College in Doha, the program delved into Qatar’s rich culture, dynamic economy, industry structure, and legal landscape through immersive experiences, including real-time socio-cultural visits and company tours.
This initiative is part of RBS’s commitment to international exposure, with Doha being one of seven destinations for the RBS International Mobility Experience. In response to this collaboration, ARIU Qatar Executive Dean, Professor Ivan Ninov, expressed excitement, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with Rome Business School in delivering high-quality bootcamp programs to RBS students in Doha and look forward to reciprocating with an international mobility program in Rome this year.”
For 2023, RBS curated an exclusive list of destinations at the forefront of innovation and thriving startup ecosystems. Silicon Valley, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Tuscany, Lagos, and Doha offer students unique opportunities to enhance their resumes and stand out in the competitive job market.
The heart of the Doha Bootcamp lies in its experiential learning, seamlessly blending academic rigor with real-world exploration. Participants explored key landmarks, including the Qatar Stock Exchange, the FIFA World Cup Pavilion, Expo 2023 Doha, Sheraton Hotel, and Msheireb Museum. These visits provided profound insights into Qatar’s economic landscape, global sports events, and dedication to innovation and cultural preservation.
The program’s classroom sessions at Al Rayyan International University College covered vital topics such as the business environment, legal frameworks, negotiation strategies, and communication specific to the Middle East.
Beyond the boardroom, participants immersed themselves in Qatar’s rich history through cultural activities. Visits to the National Museum of Qatar, strolls through the vibrant Souq Waqif, and captivating desert safaris added an enriching layer to the program.
The Doha Bootcamp concluded as a resounding success, epitomizing the commitment of RBS to providing a holistic education that extends beyond traditional boundaries. We express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this International Bootcamp in Doha an exceptional experience.
