Rome Business School in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027
Rome Business School confirms its presence for the third consecutive year in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 as the top Business School in Italy with Reporter status. This continuity reinforces the path undertaken by the institution within one of the leading international higher education analysis systems and its commitment to the transparent measurement and sharing of its academic data.
The 2027 edition is the largest ever produced by Times Higher Education and involves institutions from 118 countries and territories, within an increasingly vast and competitive global context. Over 2,000 institutions are featured in the 2027 edition. The Times Higher Education framework analyzes the core missions of higher education institutions through 17 indicators, structured across five areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry.
In this scenario, one of the elements that most characterizes Rome Business School is its international dimension. 66% of students are foreign, 140 countries are represented, making every classroom an environment for exchange between different cultures and professional experiences. International exposure also extends beyond campus: 644 students participated in International Bootcamps, experiencing immersive learning journeys in 14 different destinations, among the world’s leading economic and innovation hubs, including Silicon Valley, Doha, Dubai, Paris, Barcelona, London, Porto, Lagos, Babson, Rome, Tuscany, China, and India.
“Being present for the third consecutive year in the World University Rankings represents for us above all the confirmation of a precise direction: being a Business School open to the world, capable of engaging with global higher education standards. The diversity of our community is not just a statistic; it means bringing perspectives, experiences, and different ways of interpreting business and the world into the classroom every day.” – stated Antonio Ragusa, Dean of Rome Business School.
Supporting the educational experience is a faculty that combines academic expertise with direct knowledge of the managerial and professional world. Rome Business School currently counts 265 professors and 36 Program Directors; 31% of the faculty is international, while 29% holds a PhD or an MBA. Furthermore, a ratio of 10 students per professor fosters a more direct relationship with the faculty and a learning experience oriented toward dialogue, mentoring, and individual development.
Alongside teaching, the institution’s contribution to knowledge dissemination continues to grow through its Outreach Research Center, which publishes 14 research reports per year dedicated to analyzing the transformations redefining the economy, businesses, and society. From artificial intelligence to innovation, from smart cities to the labor market, up to the longevity economy and tourism, the developed research aims to make data and analysis on emerging trends accessible and to contribute to the debate on the challenges managers, businesses, and institutions will face.
“Research generates value when it manages to go beyond the data and becomes a tool for understanding change. With our Outreach Research Center, we want to make analysis and knowledge accessible not only to the academic community, but also to businesses, institutions, professionals, and public opinion, helping to interpret phenomena that have a concrete impact on today’s and tomorrow’s decisions.” – added Valerio Mancini, Director of the Outreach Research Center at Rome Business School.
The presence in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 is part of a path of growing participation by Rome Business School in the main international higher education evaluation frameworks. Over the past year, RBS has consolidated its international presence through 9 rankings and 3 ratings, expanding its comparison with institutions worldwide on dimensions such as training quality, internationalization, impact, sustainability, research, and employability. A journey that accompanies the evolution of Rome Business School from a shared perspective: training managers capable of operating in a global context, transforming diversity, knowledge, and research into concrete tools for growth and impact.
