The 87 members of the Corporate Advisory Board, together with Umberto Galimberti as a special guest to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Rome Business School training offer
Rome, 25 May 2022. Rome Business School welcomes 87 CAB members to the prestigious Hotel Cavalieri. The meeting brought together top managers and CEOs of the largest international companies including, KPMG, Glovo, Enel and the RBS faculty in order to discuss among experts the new needs and trends from the job market, business opportunities and critical issues in order to outline the most suitable training offer, and continue to make RBS one of the most dynamic and innovative realities in post-graduate training in Italy.
The Rome Business School Corporate Advisory Board is one of the key factors of the Quality Assurance Process, the process of continuous improvement of the management training offer of RBS, aimed at ensuring the quality standards set by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) and embodies the spirit of collaboration between academia and managerial reality.
Today’s Annual Meeting allowed all the participants to exchange reflections and to share the work carried out during the 6 Workshops organized in 2022 by RBS with a view to continually improving and updating the training offer. Among the innovations that emerged: the increase of courses on soft skills (e.g. Leadership in uncertainity, Business flexibility) or in-depth study of specific skills (e.g. Advanced Data Analytics, Stakeholder Management, Circular Business Model Transformation, Metaverse Marketing), specific courses to train the most requested profiles on the market (e.g Talent Acqusition Specialist & Talent Retantion, Chief Sustainable Officer, Blockchain Developer, Data Miner), and focused on obtaining certifications (e.g CFA, CAIA, PRINCE2, SCRUM certifications).
RBS General Manager Maria Ángeles Martos Molina kicked off the debates at CAB Day, providing an overview of the impact that managerial training has in Italy in creating future leaders with an innovative and responsible approach, highlighting it as a business in an increasingly competitive and challenging market today, but necessary and strongly desired in order to build more equitable and sustainable societies.
Umberto Galimberti, renowned Italian philosopher, academic, psychoanalyst and journalist, was invited to the event. He retraced centuries and millennia of history together with the participants and then came to reflect on today: the era of technology and the devaluation of values, underlining the importance of ethics and education in emotional responsibility, especially for managers, decision-makers and the young leaders of tomorrow:
“Today, unfortunately, our horizon is no longer the human condition, but 2% of GDP: we want this to be horizon against which we measure ourselves? Always and only the economy?”.
And he continues by highlighting the centrality of the role of teachers in providing the right tools to students:
“The mind does not open, if you do not open the heart: it is important that the subjects fascinate, motivate students, the classroom must be the stage for every teacher “.
From the Q&A it emerged further how necessary it is today to engage in training all-round talents: able not only to know the “technique”, but to foresee and mitigate negative consequences of decisions and actions, empathic, responsible, attentive to sustainability, to the people needs and inclusive.
The CAB is in fact committed to advising and accompanying RBS in the development of managers and entrepreneurs able to face and be promoters of change, based on the principles of sustainability and ethics, who know how to be inclusive and innovative. Thanks to the contribution of the CAB in 2021, RBS has launched this year 4 new Masters adapted to the new needs of the world of work: Specialized Master in Digital Marketing and Business Transformation, Specialized Master in International Law and Compliance, Professional Master in Artificial Intelligence, Specialized Master in Sustainability and Circular Bio Economy.
With regard to student job opportunities, during the event it was highlighted that in 2021 as many as 16 CAB member companies shared job offers and placement opportunities exclusively with RBS students. Among them: Soho House, NTT Data, Jaguard Land Rover, IKEA, EY, Save the Children Italia, Oracle, HAYS. Also thanks to this type of collaboration, Rome Business School boasts a 97% placement rate of students who actively collaborate with the RBS Career Service, 51% of students find work before completing the Master and 69% obtain a job offer within 6 months of completing your studies.
Also thanks to the CAB, in 2021 4 Corporate Partnerships were developed with Digital Angels, Coca-Cola HBC, HMD Global, MAXXI, and students were able to meet during their Master managers from the main companies, including Adidas, Eataly , Vodafone, EY, Soho House. In addition, the members of the committee are Program Directors of the Masters or Faculty members, and have supported the development of over 22 Business Practice Labs and 27 courses related to sustainability, business ethics, innovation and new technologies, among other contributions. .
Rome Business School is happy to offer its students opportunities for coaching and growth together with top companies and multinationals and to work to strengthen collaboration with the corporate and managerial world every day. For Antonio Ragusa, Dean of the Rome Business School:
“the quality of RBS programs is consolidated in an atmosphere of work in constant dialogue with the professional world where participants share experiences and learn not only from classmates but also from close relationships and constant that we have with the executives of the most important companies in the world “.
