Rome Business School’s International MBA, already #1 in the world for employment outcomes, is now #1 in Italy for ESG impact

  • CEO Magazine’s Green MBA Index 2026 has awarded Rome Business School’s International MBA an AA rating for ESG impact, ranking it 1st in Italy, 6th in Europe, and 13th in the world.
  • Already #1 in the world for Employment Outcomes and 6th for Quality of Content in the QS International Trade Rankings, 2nd in the world for Diversity, 12th for Class Profile (educational innovation), and in the European Top 100 for employability in the QS Global MBA Rankings, it has now achieved new recognition from CEO Magazine. This award highlights the integration of sustainability into its courses, the program’s practical learning methodology, faculty quality, student career opportunities, and the institution’s overall commitment to promoting ESG.
  • Particularly highly rated were: the circular learning methodology; specific modules dedicated to responsible leadership, sustainable value chains, and ESG measurement; and the Porto and Lagos Bootcamps—study abroad weeks dedicated to sustainability, emerging markets, and socially responsible leadership.
  • Rome Business School’s commitment to social and environmental impact is also recognized by the THE Impact Rankings, for its contribution to SDGs 4, 5, 9, and 17, and by the Positive Impact Rating 2026, where it was confirmed at Level 4 “Transforming School”.

Rome Business School’s International MBA—already ranked #1 in the world for Employment Outcomes and 6th for Quality of Content by the QS International Trade Rankings, 2nd in the world for Diversity, 12th for Class Profile by the QS Global MBA Rankings, and in the European Top 100 for employability—is now also first in Italy, 6th in Europe, and 13th in the world in CEO Magazine’s Green MBA Index 2026, an international index measuring the integration of sustainability within MBA programs. The program achieved an AA rating, the second-highest tier out of the six levels analyzed.

The evaluation is based on five key areas: how sustainability is integrated into the curriculum, the practical experiences offered to students, faculty research on ESG topics, the commitment of the institution as a whole, and the career outcomes of its graduates. The assessment relies exclusively on documented and independently verified data; reputation carries no weight. The scores, measured on a scale from 0 to 100, are divided into six tiers from AAA to B. The AA rating achieved by the International MBA corresponds to a score between 70 and 84.

This milestone reflects the core framework of the International MBA, built around “Innovation, Sustainability & ESG” as a foundational component of its Circular Learning Methodology, which is accredited by the EFMD Circle for Quality Assurance. Courses such as Leadership for Sustainability and Ethics, Sustainable Value-Chain Operations, and Business & ESG Dashboard run alongside modules on Ethics of AI and Big Data, Future of Work and Digital HR, and Digital Transformation. This is further enhanced by the Better Managers for a Better World module, which focuses on corporate social responsibility, business ethics, and long-term responsible decision-making, bringing ESG issues directly into core management functions—from strategy and finance to people management.

On an experiential level, the Purpose in Action Alumni program runs alongside Business Ethics, CSR, and ESG initiatives throughout and beyond the program, while direct partnerships with NGOs and non-profit organizations drive projects aimed at positive social change. Furthermore, the International Bootcamps in Porto and Lagos offer students the opportunity to apply classroom concepts in the field and engage with methodologies and best practices from other markets. In Porto, in collaboration with Porto Business School, a full week is dedicated to Sustainability & ESG Management—from the circular economy to green finance—working closely with companies like Lipor, Givachoice, and Natixis. In Lagos, with Rome Business School Nigeria, students experience an immersive deep dive into emerging market development and socially responsible leadership in one of West Africa’s most dynamic economic hubs.

Rome Business School’s commitment to sustainability extends far beyond the International MBA, involving the entire institution. As a signatory of the United Nations’ PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), RBS has been recognized in the THE Impact Rankings for its contribution to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), making it the only Italian business school included in the 2026 ranking. This same dedication was recognized by the Positive Impact Rating, which in 2026 confirmed Rome Business School at Level 4 and selected it as an international case study, based on the direct feedback of students and faculty across the four pillars of Inspiring, Educating, Enabling, and Engaging.

“Securing first place in Italy in the Green MBA Index confirms a path that Rome Business School has chosen with deep conviction: training managers capable of generating economic value and positive impact simultaneously. This is the exact vision behind our claim, Better Managers for a Better World, which we embed into every single program, from the curriculum to hands-on field experiences,” stated Antonio Ragusa, Dean of Rome Business School.
