Rome Business School's Career Center Announces Winner of the Personal Branding Challenge

RBS Career Center, in collaboration with leading recruitment companies Oracle, Renault Group, Coca-Cola HBC Italia, Hays Careers Italia, and The Career Writing Connection, is thrilled to announce Anna Vo, a student of the International Master in Arts and Culture Management, as the winner of the Personal Branding Challenge. The challenge aimed to evaluate participants’ ability to present their professional profiles and enhance their personal branding.

Participants were required to submit a generic cover letter template, link their LinkedIn profiles, and provide both their new and old CVs. RBS Career Center conducted an initial screening of the profiles, selecting the best ones to be evaluated by a distinguished jury comprising HR Managers from the participating companies. The jury meticulously reviewed the profiles and declared Anna Vo as the deserving winner.

Anna Vo’s personal brand stood out to the jury, showcasing her exceptional ability to present herself in the best light possible across various mediums. With her unique perspective on personal branding, Anna Vo stated,

“In the world we live in today, which is very much virtual, it’s everyone’s responsibility to understand how they’re presenting themselves, no matter what the medium is. The idea of having a personal brand today is non-negotiable. I think it’s required, and when you think about it, everyone has some version of one. It starts with what makes you, you.”

The jury, including Ms. Cristina Freeman Gomez, Professional Resume Writer and Trainer, Member at PARW Career Writing Connection EU/US, Elsa Tafesse, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Coca-Cola HBC Italia, Alessio Campi, People Manager at HAYS, Ms. Michela Merlino, EMEA Talent Advisor at Oracle Italy and Mrs, Giulia Palmisani , HR Recruiting Specialist at Renault Group provided valuable feedback on Anna’s profile. Ms. Freeman Gomez commended Anna’s cover letter, stating, “The Cover Letter is fantastic; it has great structure, highlights differentiating factors, and is not excessively long.” While evaluating Anna’s LinkedIn profile, Ms. Merlino expressed, “Anna’s LinkedIn is well done and structured; I also visited her web page, and it is a really good site – very intuitive.”

Florinda Orsini, Head of the Career Center, emphasized the significance of the Personal Branding Challenge, stating, “The personal branding challenge is a competition in which all RBS students enrolled can participate by uploading three key elements that strongly define their personal branding and how it is perceived by professional recruiters when evaluating talents.”

The Personal Branding Challenge provided an exceptional opportunity for students to be evaluated by five HR Managers from leading national and international companies. Participating students had the chance to showcase their CVs to HR professionals and elevate their personal branding. In addition, the winner, Anna Vo, will be awarded a professional personal stylist consultation to further enhance her personal brand.

Florinda Orsini continued, “Having participated in the Personal Branding Challenge gave the opportunity, even just participating, to increase your possibilities of being noticed as a potential future employee.”

RBS Career Center congratulates Anna Vo on her remarkable achievement in the Personal Branding Challenge and extends gratitude to the jury members and participating companies for their valuable contribution to the competition’s success.
