Rome, June the 20th 2019 – Rome Business School and the Canadian Chamber in Italy joined forces in planning and hosting the ultimate event providing in-depth knowledge on the future of the agri-food sector: Innovation – From Farm to Table, in fact, turned out to be much more than a panel presentation where many illustrious speakers, such as Josè Salgado, President of the Canadian Chamber in Italy, Thin Lei Win, Food Security Correspondent at Thomson Reuters Foundation, Sonia Massari, Director of Gustolab International Food System and Sustainability and Yannick Fiedler, Political Economist & Responsible Investment Specialist at United Nations FAO, tackled complex subjects and challenges of this sector; it was a unique chance at dialogue and engagement between illustrious guests and stakeholders over many aspects one of the most important topics of our time, which resulted in several crucial observations.
Among the debated topics, the lack of sustainability of the current food chain was acknowledged, as was the need for effective solutions that can be localized and adapted to every culture and environment; the part played by technology in changing the status quo, an important but limited one, since real change can happen only with human resolution and ingenuity.
Hosting such a beautiful panel and working with so many inspiring people was a privilege that Rome Business School will make sure can soon be repeated.
