About the Location

Auditorium Parco Della Musica

The Santa Cecilia Hall is located in the marvellous  Auditorium Parco Della Musica.

The Auditorium Parco della Musica, designed by Renzo Piano and completed on December 21st 2002, represents the most important city and cultural plan ever realized in Rome since the 1960s. The extraordinary complex presents a sophisticated music architecture, a big multifunctional complex, home to all the kinds of music and all the arts that satisfy different audience needs, combining quality and performance, culture and fun.

The three main halls, Petrassi Hall (700 seats), Sinopoli Hall (122 seats) and Santa Cecilia Hall (2,800 seats), are real “sound boxes”, three huge lutes suspended on hanging gardens of more than 30,000 square meters. The Auditorium Parco della Musica, run by Fondazione Musica per Roma and headquarters of the prestigious Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, is a living and vibrant centre of culture. A place to be experienced!

Santa Cecilia Hall

The Santa Cecilia Hall (2,800 seats) is one of the largest in Europe and hosts the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia’s symphonic season, the lyric operas in semi-scenic form and holy and contemporary music concerts.

Here perform the most prestigious artists of the international jazz, rock, pop, world, song-writer music scene.  The suspended ceiling – a great architectural innovation – is made of 26 cherry-wood shells with a total surface area of over 4,000 square meters.

A spectacular setting, which is why leading multinationals request this hall as a venue for prestigious conventionsand it is also chosen to host the premières at the International Rome Film Festival.
