Rome Business School, is pleased to announce the first edition of Connexion Festival, an annual event organized in Rome, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rome (Dipartimento Sport e Politiche Giovanili) and Palazzo delle Esposizioni. The exhibition is curated by the students of the Master in Arts and Culture Management of the Rome Business School, under the supervision of Professors Alexandra Solea and Giosuè Prezioso.
In a 4-days event, Connexion Festival features an international exhibition with artists from more than 30 countries worldwide, as well as talks, workshops, live broadcasts, and prizes. The opening will be inaugurated on December 12, 2019, at 17:30 pm – Mattatoio, Rome.
Connexion Festival aims to be one of the city’s major collaborative events between artists, public and private institutes, universities, cultural managers, and professionals based in Rome. A multi- dynamic community of people linked to create a vibrant international scene in one of the world’s most culturally prestigious centers. A yearly appointment to discuss delicate issues affecting the world of business, academia, politics, nature, and culture.
This year’s edition will focus on the role of the environment analyzed from three perspectives: natural, spiritual, and virtual; a complex and delicate topic that connects the Festival to a vaster global discourse – triggered by Greta Thunberg. This underlines the dual nature of this Festival, curated by more than 100 students worldwide, in situ (from Rome), or from their home countries.
“The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us, I say, we will never forgive you.”
G. Thunberg
Connexion Festival will also feature collaborations with international organizations, such as the Gruppo Jobel – Art for Earth (Italy), a cultural organization committed to raising awareness on social and environmental issues through artistic and educational programs; Osservatorio Cultura Lavoro, one of Italys’ major cultural online magazines; Winedo, committed to spreading the culture of Italian (and international) wines.
Selected artists: Ebrahim Alipoor, Elodie Barattucci, Hasan Belal, Maria Artoul, McManu Espinosa, Paul Valentine, Svccy, Lalula Vivenzi, Filipo Riniolo, Marco Castillo, Rekha Sameer.
