With more than 350,000 professionals worldwide and a strong presence in over 50 countries, Capgemini supports organizations in designing and delivering innovative strategies and solutions to shape the future of industries.

Capgemini Invent: The Innovation Slice of the Cake

As Claudia Di Nardo (Talent Acquisition Lead) explained, Capgemini can be imagined as a cake — and Capgemini Invent is a very special slice: the unit fully dedicated to innovation, strategy, and transformation.

Capgemini Invent works with clients on the first wave of their projects, shaping strategy, defining data and design combinations, and imagining what comes next. It’s the innovation engine of the group.

This business unit counts more than 10,000 experts in 36 offices worldwide, and includes Frog, a creative design studio focused on customer experience, service design, and Generative AI projects.

Their mission:

“At Capgemini Invent, we bring to life what’s next for our clients.”

Core values and vision

Wherever they are in the world, Capgemini teams share the same value framework: team spirit, honesty, boldness, trust, freedom, fun, and modesty — a true fil rouge connecting all offices.

Their vision is to help clients embrace innovation and transformation to build the future they want.

Career Opportunities and Growth

During the company visit, Claudia Di Nardo shared key insights into career paths and recruitment within Capgemini Invent Italy, currently based in Milan, Turin, Bologna, and Rome.

A Structured Career Path: The Pyramid

One of the key takeaways from the company visit was Capgemini’s clear and structured career path, which allows young professionals to grow quickly and gain exposure to multiple industries.

The career journey starts at the base of the pyramid:

  • Internship (6 months) — The first entry point to learn and gain hands-on experience. Internships are paid and offer exposure to various sectors.
  • Apprenticeship (18 months) — After the internship or an extension (3–6 months), talents move to a structured learning path with increased responsibilities.
  • Permanent contract – Consultant (Grade B) — Full-time role with client ownership and project accountability.
  • Senior Consultant / Manager / Leadership roles — As professionals grow, they climb the pyramid, taking on managerial responsibilities, leading teams, and managing client relationships.

This rapid progression is one of the most attractive aspects of working in consulting: you grow fast, work with multiple clients, and build cross-industry expertise.
