Claudia P., now HR Assistant at Medici Senza Frontiere

Claudia P., student of the Executive Master in Gestione delle Risorse Umane, told us about how important has been for her to expand her competencies and professional network through the RBS Master.

Tell about yourself, your experiences and learning journey that have brought you to where you are today?

After working for years as an archaeologist, I moved to the United States where I had the opportunity to work as a program manager in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in a large cancer center. Back in Italy, I decided to enroll in the Executive Master’s in Human Resource Management at RBS, which I am currently attending, to hone the HR skills acquired during my experience abroad and expand my network. Thanks to RBS, I had the opportunity to meet with/representatives from a variety of companies, including Doctors Without Borders with whom I am currently working.

What are the most important skills you acquired at RBS, which ones you will need to work on the most, and which ones to focus on that are critical in today’s world of work?

Fundamental in the world of work are active listening skills, flexibility and proactivity. Thanks to my master’s degree at RBS, I acquired more skills in HR but not only, which I am putting to use in my current work experience.

Why did you decide to join RBS, what did the master’s program give you in terms of skills, competencies, meetings with companies and experience?

I decided to join RBS to sharpen my skills in HR and expand my network. It was through RBS that I came into contact with the organization I am working with.

What do you want to focus on in your work experience today and what is your career goal?

I would like to have the opportunity to develop and manage Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives working with NGOs and/or large companies.

Matilde P. now working at Rinascente, student of the Specialized Master in Fashion Management, left us some thoughts

“The Master has helped me both from a theoretical and a practical point of view thanks to the various jobs carried out during the lessons. Moreover, thanks to the master’s programme, I had the opportunity to get to know colleagues from all over the world, creating dense networks of connections both on a personal and working level.

“My advices for my colleagues? Be curious, do not overlook what seems less important. Never give up in the face of difficulties. Always try to give and get the best even in what seems impossible.”
