On September 24, 2025, Rome Business School hosted the exclusive workshop “Turn Your Purpose into Impact – Design an Authentic Career”, an event reserved for students and alumni, designed for those who want to give new meaning to their professional path.
The session was led by Nadzeya Sasnouskaya, an ICF-certified career coach and expert trainer in soft and managerial skills at Enel Group. Through a blend of personal storytelling, practical tools, and moments of reflection, Nadzeya guided participants on a journey to discover their own purpose, with the goal of turning it into a conscious, authentic, and achievable career project.
Have you ever felt that your job doesn’t truly reflect who you are?
Have you ever asked yourself what your real “why” is?
It was from these questions that the workshop was born: a chance to clarify one’s values, aspirations, and talents, in a working world that today requires not only technical skills but also strong personal alignment.
We live in an era of unprecedented freedom. Compared to the past, when life choices were dictated by traditions or social roles, today we have infinite possibilities. But as the speaker emphasized, this freedom also brings a paradox: more options mean more uncertainty, more stress, and increasing difficulty in making choices that truly represent us.
This is where personal purpose comes into play—an inner compass that helps us navigate the many possible paths. According to the perspective of Erich Fromm, quoted during the event, freedom without direction can become a source of anxiety. Finding purpose, on the other hand, helps transform uncertainty into opportunity.
Numerous studies confirm that a sense of meaning has a direct impact on performance, well-being, and employee engagement. One study showed that employees who perceive a strong purpose are also more motivated and productive. The PwC Hope and Fears Survey 2024 identified the possibility of doing meaningful work as the number one factor in increasing job satisfaction.
Even emerging technologies reflect this: among the top predicted uses of generative AI in 2025, according to the Harvard Business Review, is helping people find purpose and direction in their careers.
During the workshop, Nadzeya guided participants through a transformative model designed to move from self-awareness to the development of a concrete professional project. The process begins with deep self-knowledge — personal history, values, skills, aspirations — leading to a clear vision of one’s direction. Only then comes the analysis of market trends and real opportunities, culminating in concrete actions, possible obstacles, and the resources needed to generate impact.
The talk was enriched by authentic testimonials. Like Chiara, a marketing professional who felt stuck between two opportunities and, thanks to the coaching journey, gained clarity and now works in a company where she finally feels in the right place. Or Piero, a partner and AI strategist, who used coaching to reconnect with his purpose and decided to start his own entrepreneurial journey aligned with his values.
“From Purpose to Impact” was not just a theoretical event, but a concrete opportunity to begin — or continue — a journey of awareness and transformation. Through personal experiences, practical tools, and a human vision of work, the workshop inspired participants to take ownership of their professional direction.
As Nadzeya reminded everyone, “Finding your purpose is the key to creating a career that is not only successful but, above all, in harmony with who we truly are.”
