On Friday the 10th of July, the students of the Rome Business School had a chance to visit the Rome operations centre and Italian national headquarters of American Express, the global leading company in the payments sector.
Founded over 160 years ago, American Express is among the 15 globally best knownbrands, and is the world largest card issuer by purchase volume.
Having been greeted by Daniela Cerboni, Vice President – Head of World Service Italy, and her team, the students took the opportunity to talk about marketing and communication, as well as customer service, aspects that are crucial for a company that has built its foundations on the relationships it entertains with its clients.
Ranked as one of the best companies to work for in Italy, American Express gave the students the possibility to listen to testimonials and lectures about the importance of internal company communication, and about the fundamental role played by human resources, considered by the Brand to be its best asset.
The Rome Business School firmly believes in the importance of an education filled with practical experiences; thanks to this visit, the students had a chance to verify the practical application of the notions they had learnt in class by observing the work environment of a large firm like American Express, absorbing its culture and discovering its values.
