The second edition of the Study Tour 2025, a joint initiative between Rome Business School and Washington State University, is back. From May 17 to 25, students will embark on a one-week educational journey across some of Italy’s most iconic locations.
This program offers a unique opportunity to explore global business through real-world experiences. Participants will engage in academic training, professional development, and cultural immersion in settings of historical and entrepreneurial importance. From Rome to Florence, they will discover the essence of Italian excellence.
The journey begins in Rome, Italy’s capital. Here, students will immerse themselves in the country’s history, economy, and vibrant culture. They’ll visit iconic sites like the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, and the Trevi Fountain.
The academic program starts with a focus on leadership and national identity. Key sessions include:

“National Branding” – An in-depth look at how Italy promotes its cultural and industrial image worldwide.

Luxury Hospitality – Best practices from top Italian hotel brands.
In Florence, cultural discovery continues with a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery. Students will also visit the Duomo and Piazzale Michelangelo, enjoying some of the city’s most famous views.
The final leg of the tour takes students to Montepulciano and Pienza, both located in the rural heart of Tuscany. The focus here is on sustainable agriculture and wine entrepreneurship, two sectors central to the Italian economy.
Visits to wineries like Salcheto and Il Borro offer an inside look at eco-friendly wine production. Students will learn about sustainability, innovation, and business strategy in agriculture.
To enrich the experience, two culinary events will provide a true taste of Tuscany:
Ape-Dinner “in Cantina” – A relaxed dinner in the vineyards, celebrating local food and atmosphere.
Tuscan Dinner at Ortone – A regional culinary experience showcasing traditional dishes and fine ingredients.
