For the second year in a row, Rome Business School and Galway Business School collaborated to create an overseas study tour program that provided students from Ireland with a unique opportunity to gain useful insights in the field of business and Made in Italy.
On February 19 and 20, 2024, 25 students and 5 managers from Galway Business School had the privilege of meeting Italian companies, such as Bulgari and Castel Volognano, and talking with their managers. Notably, they had the opportunity to engage with Camilla Carrega Bertolini, owner of Castel Volognano and Program Director of the Master in Tourism and Hospitality at Rome Business School.
The visit to Bulgari, a luxury brand synonymous with Italian craftsmanship, allowed the students to experience firsthand the importance of Made in Italy. They interacted with managers and experts at Domvs Bulgari and explored the Maison’s museum, gaining insights into the history and latest trends in the world of fashion and luxury, key sectors for the Italian economy.
During these two days, the program also included an in-depth study session led by Professor Valerio Mancini. The session focused on the significance of Nation Branding and highlighted the differences between Italy and Ireland in this context.
To ensure a comprehensive experience, the program incorporated cultural elements. Part of this included a visit to the Colosseum and a guided tour through the Eternal City, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Italy’s rich cultural heritage.
