International meeting with Huanggang Normal University

On Thursday the 12th of October, a Chinese delegation from the Huanggang Normal University, guided by Vice President Professor Jin Peng, visited the Rome Business School’s campus for a meeting with Antonio Ragusa, Founding President, Marco Rosci, Head of Marketing and Admissions, and Maria Palma Petruolo, Head of Career Services and Alumni Relations Specialist of the Rome Business School.

The Meeting

The meeting started with a presentation of the Rome Business School’s master programmes, international reach, and possibilities for cooperation. After the presentation, the University’s officials discussed the various possibilities open to both institutions. In particular, the main points discussed were the possibility to offer the Rome Business School students international study tours in China, to enrol Chinese students in the Rome Business School, and to run joint programmes.

The meeting concluded with an invitation for the Rome Business School Management board to visit the University’s campus in China and to explore all the academic and business opportunities that a country such as China provides.

Finally, the Rome Business School team and the Huanggang Normal University officials exchanged gifts, and expressed their willingness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding which could lead to a successful and long term cooperation.

Huanggang Normal University

Huanggang Normal University (HGNU), founded in 1905, is a four-year undergraduate university offering education in a wide range of disciplines, and both teacher and non-teacher training programmes. With Dongpo Red Cliff lying to the north and the Yangtze River to the south, HGNU is regarded as the best institute of higher education in Huanggang, a city with a population of 7.4 million.

At present, HGNU offers eight master degree specialties, 51 bachelor degree specialties and 13 three-year diploma specialties; among these, Double bachelor degrees can be conferred in 19 specialties. Guided by the concept of “restriction in scale, optimization in structure, innovation in reformation, elevation in quality, and characterization in school operation”, HGNU has been constantly working to improve the structure of its specialties.

Over the past five years, 17 more specialties have been incorporated into the disciplinary system.
