The #RBS4Entrepreneurship Digital Hackathon at Rome Business School is a dynamic and immersive event, designed to propel startups created by the Rome Business School’s students into the realm of digital innovation. Spanning two days, the hackathon featured a blend of masterclasses, workshops, and mentorship sessions, all focused on the crucial digital aspects of launching a startup.
The Digital Hackathon exemplifies the innovative and hands-on spirit of Rom Business School’s offer allowing students to immerse themselves in the world of entrepreneurship, gaining practical experience in the field.
The first day began with an opening speech by Dean Antonio Ragusa, setting the stage for an intensive learning experience. A pivotal masterclass on creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was conducted by Valentino Megale, CEO & Co-Founder of Softcare Studios. This session delved into the essentials of planning, execution, and avoiding common pitfalls in MVP development. Teams then engaged in a workshop led by Pedius, focusing on creating interactive prototypes, enhancing web UX, and structuring e-commerce platforms.
In the second part of the first day and on the second day, teams had the invaluable opportunity for one-to-one mentorship with IT mentors, where they received personalized advice and guidance. This phase was crucial for refining their projects and incorporating digital solutions effectively.
The event will allow one winning team to fast-track their access to the Selection Day, where only 15 lucky teams will gain entry and pitch their startup project to a jury of investors, entrepreneurs and experts. 7 projects will then enter the next stage: the RBS Incubator. Winners will be announced on January 31st.
