Executive Master in Fashion Management, Luxury Management’s Overview 

This master’s degree encompasses topics central to the field of fashion and luxury management: from cultural and sociological skills to designing strategies aimed at communicating and selling luxury products. Students will take on a new way of understanding fashion, starting from its etymology to studying the cultural and consumer sentiment underlying each product or brand. Students will develop critical thinking by attending fairs and fashion shows in Milan and Rome, including:

  • Pitti Immagine Uomo (January and June 2024)​ 
  • Milan Fashion Week (February and September 2024)​ 
  • Milan Unica (January and June 2024)​
  • Salone Del Mobile Di Milano – Sezione Fuori Salone (June 2024)
  • Altaroma Fashion Week (January and July 2024)

The Master is taught entirely in Italian.

Michela Bonafoni

Program Director

Michela Bonafoni was born in Rome in 1979. Always passionate about the world of fashion understood as a cultural macrosystem and collective expression and the daughter of traders in the clothing and footwear industry for 100 years.

After a diploma in Liceo Classico, she decided to continue her studies specializing in fashion communication and marketing, earning a degree at La Sapienza in Rome. The step abroad seemed to be obligatory, and led Michela to specialize at Central St. Martin College in London precisely in communication and fashion marketing.

It is 2010 the year in which, after numerous experiences at some companies and communication agencies, she moves to Milan where, in 2012, she opens the communication strategies agency 360+OneQuarter, specializing in the promotion of young designers and special projects.

GIORGIA FEROLDI
Giorgia Feroldi Fashion News Editor at Condé Nast Italia

She is a highly experienced creative writer in the world of fashion and design. As a consultant for numerous magazines such as VOGUE ITALIA, THE GREATEST, SCHÖN! MAGAZINE, and LAMPOON, she writes about fashion from a critical and analytical perspective. She is also a professor of FASHION SHOW ANALYSIS and ONLINE STRATEGIES at IED Milano.

Valentina Moroni Visual Merchandising professor in Fashion Stylist and Design at IED Roma

Visual Merchandiser with a proven track record in the clothing and fashion industry. From 2003 to 2019, she held the position of SENIOR AREA VISUAL MERCHANDISER at the Diesel brand. Additionally, she has worked on various freelance setups in the Fashion and Food sectors, also providing Image Consulting for companies. Currently, she is a Visual Merchandising professor in Fashion Stylist and Design at IED Roma.

A first degree in Political Science with a historical focus at the University of Bologna and a second in Philosophy at Roma Tre; PhD in Communication and Social Research at Sapienza University of Rome in 2017. Journalist by profession since 2006. He teaches communication and semiotics in creative fields such as fashion and food at the university for courses in Italian and English; holds the position of communication manager at Excess Venice Boutique Hotel & Private Spa. He founded in 2006 and is editor-in-chief of the web magazine boop.it.

Flavio Marcelli Head of Content at Say Who International

Head of Content at Say Who International, an online digital media company based in Paris and Milan that portrays contemporary culture and creative work. After graduating as a Fashion Editor from IED Milano, she began her career as a Creative Editor and Producer at ASAP STUDIO. Subsequently, in 2019, she started her collaboration with the prestigious magazine MFF FASHION MAGAZINE. Today, she is a professor at IED Milano in Fashion Show Analysis.
