Rome Business School first and only Italian Business School in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings

  • Rome Business School enters the Times Higher Education World University Rankings first in Italy, to date the only Italian business school present.

  • Analysed on the basis of 18 indicators divided into 5 areas, Rome Business School stands out for its ratio of 9.8 students per lecturer, the impact of its Dissemination Research Centre in terms of quality and topics covered, the internationality of the institute with 67% international students and 279 cooperation and exchange agreements with institutes in 63 different countries.

Rome Business School is the first and only Italian business school to enter the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, judged important for its contribution in providing valuable data and information on trends in education and research around the world.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, one of the most renowned international rankings, evaluated 2860 institutions in this edition. The top five ranked: University of Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Priceton University, University of Cambridge, and among the Italian universities present University of Bologna, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Università La Sapienza. The institutes were assessed on 18 performance indicators and 5 areas of analysis, such as teaching, research environment, research quality, internationality of the institute and impact in the sector. Rome Business School actively participated in the data collection and analysis process for the World University Rankings, thus contributing to provide a reliable overview of the international educational landscape. Inclusion in the rankings not only testifies to the willingness of participating institutions to take part in a rigorous evaluation process, but also to their commitment to implementing the high standards of academic quality and research required.

Specific indicators of Rome Business School were particularly appreciated, such as: academic reputation and the student-faculty ratio, which in the case of RBS is 9.8 students per lecturer, the quality, reputation and internationality of the reports produced by its Divulgative Research Center – 14 reports are published per year on various topics such as Artificial Intelligence in Finance and Healthcare, Energy Transition, Automotive, Gender Gap, the impact of Sport and Tourism in Italy and worldwide.

With regard to the ‘International Perspective’ indicator, the institute’s global attractiveness, which has 278 partnerships and agreements with universities and business schools in 63 countries, and the internationality of its students, with 67% of them coming from 161 different countries, were evaluated favourably. Not only that, RBS actively encourages academic and research collaborations at an international level, fostering the creation of research networks around the world.

This brings to 6 the international awards already obtained by Rome Business School in the last year, conferred by 6 different prestigious institutions: QS World University Ranking, QS Stars, CEO Magazine, Eduniversal, Positive Impact Rating and Times Higher Education.
