After two successful edition of RBS4Entrepreneurship, the Rome Business School program dedicated to those with an entrepreneurial dream, on May 13th the school kicked off its third edition.
The first touchpoint of the students with the world of entrepreneurship is the #StartupTalk, a deep and interactive exchange with entrepreneurs, who are ready to share stories, experiences and learning moments.
The first StartupTalk of this edition was with Alessandro Angeli, CEO and founder of the innovative startup Night Citizen. Night Citizen is a mobile app “The Fork” style, that allows everyone who likes to go out at night, to find out clubs and events in an easy, fast and effective way. In a few taps on your mobile, you can find out the best locations around and the best events, reserve tables and purchase tickets directly in-app.
“I wasted six months drafting a detailed business plan to just throw it away. In the beginning you only really need a good pitch and maybe an idea on how your idea can be profitable.”
Alessandro Angeli, CEO and founder of Night Citizen.
The session was coordinated by Lucrezia Argento, program coordinator of the open program of RBS4Entrepreneurship, the part of the program open to all interested in entrepreneurship. With these session students learn from the experience of founders, entrepreneurs, startuppers, and investors who will enable them to learn what they need, to turn an entrepreneurial dream into a reality
After participating in several informative and inspirational sessions students will have the opportunity to submit their startup ideas, for a chance to be selected to participate in the incubation program, coordinated by Simone Demelas, Senior Consultant for Startups.
While a group of students is participating in the Open Program, winners of the second edition of RBS4Entrepreneurship are receiving mentoring in order to launch their startups.
On wednesday, the teams admitted to the RBS4Entrepreneurship incubation program were able to participate in our third VentureLab, with guest speaker Federico Giannini, Co-Founder & CGO of GH set, who shared his experience and expanded on the topic of growth hacking.
While marketers focus on acquiring and retaining consumers and brand awareness, growth hackers focus on growing all business departments by implementing experimentation strategies aimed at increasing profitability, including digital marketing. To date, the combination of these two activities is therefore an advantage for all those businesses that aim to rapidly scale their market and achieve an exponential growth of their business.
Through this session, participants understood the importance for startups to apply digital and growth hacking strategies within their business plan and how these can positively influence the achievement of their goals. From Funnel Design to Customer Acquisition process but also the importance of Analytics & Tracking, participants went through all the basics by learning from the direct experience of Federico Giannini.
