Advice from the HR Managers to improve you personal branding

On writing your CV

“When I evaluate CV, I check if it is complete and well organized; For me the 3 adjectives for an effective CV are: clear, concise but exhaustive” says Alessio Campi, People Manager at HAYS

Cristina Freeman Gómez, Career Advisor & Associate Board Member at CPRW also confirms: “In order to evaluate the students’ CVs in the personal branding challenge I use these 2 criteria:
Do they focus the content on value-creating activities, whether quantifiable or not; and how well and succinctly did they express that content. It’s important to show not tell!

On having a good Linkedin Profile

“Personally, what I look for in a LinkedIn page is a clear path where is easy to understand the current job and/or the current studies and where is chronologically possible to understand the past experiences. Using the right words is strategic in order to draw recruiter’s attention. Also abroad experiences and language knowledge are both important to make the profile more interesting.” states Michela Merlino, EMEA Talent Advisor at Oracle

On the key element for an effective cover letter

Finally Elsa Tafesse, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Coca-Cola HBC Italia shares “What I think should be included in a cover letter is a brief of real personal interests and activities, besides studies or work experience in order to give the stakeholder an idea about the candidate’s values.”

There is time until April 17 to participate in the challenge, so be sure to contact the RBS Career Center for more information and don’t miss the deadline!
