How can you become a Better Manager? By learning from the best!
This is why students of the HR Master met Senior HR Manager at EY Italy, Luca Baccini.
Certainly a wonderful opportunity for our students to get practical insight from one of the biggest companies in professional services.
Along with Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, EY is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms. It provides assurance, tax, consulting and advisory services to its clients and it also has expanded to other areas such as strategy, operations, HR, technology, and financial services consulting.
EY operates as a network of member firms and has 312,250 employees in over 700 offices in more than 150 countries around the world.
Since 2013, the firm changed its brand from Ernst & Young to EY, and its tagline to “Building a better working world“.In the same year EY was also called by the Pope to review Vatican City State’s finances and administration. That was also the year EY expanded further and acquired all of Denmark’s operations, of its competitor KPMG, including its 150 partners, 1500 employees and 21 offices.
After gaining a general overview of the company our guest illustrated specifically the Italian structure, main service areas and industries in which the company has strong expertise as for the Italian market.
Participants also learned about the possible career paths within the company. The last section of the meeting was dedicated to the analysis of some past projects, with the aim of stimulating listeners through ‘applied’ case experiences and promoting discussion on the main actions taken to solve the customer’s needs.
More top companies are joining us this week including Eni, Oracle, FAO. Don’t miss these opportunities to network with them and get insights about the work they do and the type of company they are.
