Students commence the Business Practice Labs with KPMG, NTT Data, MAXXI, Soho House and more

The Business Practice Labs are back! A fixed part in the curriculum of the Master program, Practice Labs, are 10 hours where theoretical concepts are put into practice and you learn through experience. All Business Practice Labs are led by managers from leading national and international companies from different industries and include case study analysis, role plays, group work and discussions.

Each Business Practice Lab is dedicated to the specific Area of the Master.

The Business Practice Lab with Adidas

The students learned from the testimony of Mattia Mariani, Senior Media Manager, the business reality of a German multinational company such as Adidas, which today is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second worldwide.

Through this lab the students are going to be able to learn in detail about the business of sports thus applying the theoretical concepts learned so far.
For the first session of this lab our guest speaker focused on the topic of digital transformation and how new technologies have impacted processes, transformed and are transforming companies in the sports industry.

The profound changes that are sweeping this industry require a new class of skilled professionals in both Event Management, Lifestyle, Media Management and Sports Management.

The Business Practice Lab with Soho House

International Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management students had the opportunity to participate in the first session related to the business practice lab with Soho House.

The sessions focused on the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on meeting the requirements and preferences of Soho House club members while reflecting the company’s brand identity and mission.
Taking a hands-on approach with Luca Coltellacci, People Manager of Soho House, enabled participants to gain practical experience and develop those skills necessary to succeed in hospitality management, with a focus on meeting the needs of high-end clientele.

Students had the opportunity to:
✅ Develop a realistic plan to leverage technology to enhance the club members’ experience.
✅Develop a comprehensive understanding of Soho House’s brand identity, mission and values and apply this knowledge to create experiences that resonate with club members.
✅Evaluate the effectiveness of various marketing strategies for Soho House, including social media, email marketing, and member events and develop a plan to maximize member engagement and retention.
✅Analyze the impact of different hospitality management models, such as franchise operations or management contracts, and develop a plan to optimize the management structure of Soho House.
