International Master in Banking and Risk Management

This Master aims to provide a solid foundation in financial knowledge and risk management, emphasizing both theoretical principles and practical applications. Participants will develop analytical skills, gain an in-depth understanding of the financial sector—including international banking, financial markets, risk management, and financial regulations—and acquire advanced valuation and risk modeling techniques.

The program also integrates ESG and CSR principles into risk management, preparing students to address current and emerging challenges in the financial industry. Additionally, participants will first acquire general management fundamentals before specializing in finance, equipping them to succeed as innovative and responsible leaders in the financial world. Through a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving, the Master aims to produce highly skilled professionals ready to excel in various financial roles.

    Vincenzo Mazzotta

    He is a Chartered Accountant, University Lecturer, and Consultant with a robust academic and professional background. He holds a PhD in Economy and Finance for Business from La Sapienza University and an MBA with final distinction from the University of Buckingham (UK). Additionally, he has obtained various executive courses from top institutions such as SDA Bocconi and University of Milan and a Master in Project Management.

    He is currently the Director of the Executive Master in Finance and Financial Markets at Rome Business School (2023-Present), and an Adjunct Professor at multiple universities.. In 2010, he founded Studio Mazzotta, a financial consulting firm that specializes in Corporate Finance, Business Valuation, Project Management, and Grant Management for both enterprises and public bodies. His career spans over 15 years in Subsidized Finance and Corporate Finance, with previous positions at SACE (Export Credit Agency) and Invitalia.

    He is also a Research Fellow and has contributed to publications in journals and conferences on topics like entrepreneurship, managerial decision-making, and corporate finance. Furthermore he is the winner of the Best Program Director Award 2025 In recognition of your outstanding leadership, dedication,and excellence in program direction.

    ALESSANDRO VILLADEI (1)
    Alessandro Villadei CEO and Founder of AVOR Consulting

    Alessandro is the CEO and Founder of AVOR Consulting, a strategic advisory firm specializing in leveraged buyouts (LBOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate restructuring. Prior to establishing his firm, he worked for a New York-based consultancy within the Complex Valuation and Litigation Finance department. His diverse professional background includes experience as a Hedge Fund Analyst, focusing on restructurings and workouts; a Chief Financial Officer (CFO); a university professor; and a consultant in project finance. Furthermore, he has authored several articles for the financial platform Seeking Alpha. Alessandro holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Business Administration. He is a candidate for the CFA Level III designation, having successfully passed the preceding two levels. His credentials also include the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certificate and advanced expertise in Excel-based financial modeling.

    FEDERICA TROVATO
    Federica Trovato Alternate Auditor at Automobil Club d'Italia

    Federica has gained 20 years of experience as a lawyer. She served as Legal Adviser for Albacom and Valore Italia Holding di Partecipazioni S.p.A., and worked as a lawyer at Studio Legale Unghi e Nunziante and Grimaldi Studio Legale. She was a Member of the Board of Directors at AEQUA ROMA S.P.A. and a Member of the Supervisory Board at Ama S.p.A. Meanwhile, she began her academic career: for the past 27 years, she has been an Assistant Professor in Company and Commercial Law at LUISS Guido Carli, and for the last 8 years, a Professor in Business Law at the University of Arkansas Rome Center (UARC). In 2016, she became Managing Partner at the law firm Donativi e Associati. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors at BancoPosta Fondi S.p.A. SGR and an Alternate Auditor at Automobil Club d’Italia. She is an expert in financial markets and M&A from a regulatory perspective.

    Valentino Megale CEO Softcare Studios

    Valentino Megale is a tech entrepreneur, biologist, and innovation advocate specializing in mental well-being through immersive technologies and data monitoring. He is the CEO and co-founder of Softcare Studios, a digital health startup that leverages advanced technologies to enhance medical treatments and support patients’ mental health. Valentino has over 7 years of professional experience in the digital health sector. He holds a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the "D’Annunzio" University of Chieti, with international experience in Austria and France. He is also an online lecturer in immersive technologies at the Web Marketing Festival and serves as Program Director and lecturer at Rome Business School. His academic background spans 6 years, focusing on neuropharmacology and biotechnology. Throughout his career, he has received several awards, including “Best E-Health Startup” at the Startup Europe Awards, and has taken part in international acceleration programs such as Accelerace and TMCx. He has spoken at prestigious events like TEDx and participated in innovation challenges with global companies such as Pfizer and Merck.

    NOEMI FLAMINI
    Noemi Flamini Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) - Power & Infrastructure Finance Associate

    Noemi began her career working for EUR TEL S.r.l., BNL Group BNP Paribas, and MetTel as a Trainee in Cost Planning and Control and Telecom Expense Management Services. She then joined Ernst & Young in Assurance - Audit and Accounting, followed by a role at MetTel in Finance and Accounting Operations. She eventually joined the UniCredit team, first in Corporate Finance Advisory (M&A), and currently serves as a Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) - Power & Infrastructure Finance Associate. She has developed expertise in financial analysis, due diligence, and M&A. Noemi has gained international experience, including a year in New York at MetTel, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as well as a master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Control from Bocconi University. She is currently pursuing a Master in Corporate Investment Banking at SDA Bocconi.

    Giovanni Niero Head of Corporate Finance @Enel Group

    Giovanni Niero is Head of Capital Markets, Development and ECA Financing at Enel Group, where he leads sustainable finance initiatives and oversees capital market strategies. With over 10 years of experience in finance, he has held various roles at Enel, including Head of Capital Markets and Sustainable Finance Project Leader, contributing to the group’s leadership in green and sustainable finance. Prior to joining Enel, Giovanni worked at BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas on the Green Desk, focusing on innovative financial solutions for sustainability. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Fondazione CUOA and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Verona. Giovanni has developed strong expertise in capital markets, bonds, and interest rate derivatives. He is fluent in Italian, has professional working proficiency in English (IELTS 7.5), and basic knowledge of Spanish. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the BNP Paribas Innovation Award (2015), the Green Globe Banking Award (2014), and the Milano Finanza Innovation Award (2014).

    Marshall Langer Program Director of Master in Finance

    Marshall Langer is a native of Miami, Florida. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has additionally taken extensive graduate coursework in Counseling Psychology at New York University. Marshall enjoyed a 12-year career in diverse business and finance sectors in the U.S. and Europe. He has worked on Wall Street on investment banking and risk arbitrage for firms like Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as well as in trading for BNP Paribas. He further worked in the areas of corporate management, marketing strategy, management consulting, and real estate and he is also a Trained Group Counselor. Marshall has also taught at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Fordham University, University of Connecticut, Luiss University, and The American University of Rome. Marshall authored UN agency FAO Course guide: Fundamentals of International Business Management (Rome, 2006) and co-authored of Leveraged Buyouts (Rome, Kappa, 2012).

    Nicola di Stefano Professor

    He graduated in Philosophy from the University of Milan. During the same years, she obtained his diploma from the "G. Verdi" Conservatory. He earned his Ph.D. at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome and is currently a researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Science and Technologies (ISTC) of the National Research Council (CNR). His research focuses on musical aesthetics, the relationship between aesthetics and neuroscience, and the philosophy of technology. He has over 50 publications, including books, book chapters, and articles in scientific journals. Since 2016, he has been a contracted professor at the University of Arkansas (UARK Rome Center).

When evaluating candidates, the academic background, prior experiences in the Master’s programme themes, and motivation will all be taken into account.
