Luigi La Pegna

Program Director

Luigi La Pegna has over 35 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure. He is currently the Program Director of the Master in Energy Management at the Rome Business School, where he also teaches. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome and has completed executive education programs in General Management at Northwestern University and Harvard University, as well as several advanced degrees in administration, finance, and control.

Luigi has held senior executive roles at Enel, including Head of Global O&M and CEO of Enel Green Power France, leading large-scale international projects. He is the inventor of five international patents for wind turbines and has a broad global network and solid expertise in investment management and technological innovation in the energy sector. He began his career working on projects for the European Space Agency, then moved into the Oil & Gas sector with Mannesmann Anlagenbau AG, and later worked in the railway sector with Ferrovie dello Stato. He joined Enel in 2001, where he held top-level positions including: CEO of Enel Green Power FranceVP Project Management & Control SVP Project Management & Execution for conventional power generationHead of Global O&M at Enel Green Power, overseeing more than 65 GW of installed capacity, thousands of projects, and up to 8,500 personnel.

Luigi has also served as CEO of PowerCrop Group Srl, sat on multiple Boards of Directors, and represented Italy for 11 years on the project committee of the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP). He is the inventor of five international patents related to wind turbine technology.

Alessandro Villadei Contributor and author at Seeking Alpha

Graduated in Economics and Business Administration, he currently works for the consulting firm ASTRINA, based in New York, in the Complex Valuations – Litigation Finance department. He has gained experience as an analyst for a hedge fund (Restructuring – Special Situations), CFO, professor, and consultant. He has also published several articles on Seeking Alpha. He has passed Level 1 and Level 2 of the CFA exam and is currently preparing for Level 3. He is a member of the CFA Society Italy. With a solid and diverse background in the financial sector, Alessandro holds several relevant certifications, including the Bloomberg Market Concept Certificate, certification as a Project Finance Modeller, and the PowerBI certificate.

Anna Acanfora is Head of Commissioning at Enel Global Retail, where she leads global commercial governance strategies, including commissioning frameworks, incentive policies, and remuneration structures across multiple markets. She brings over 15 years of international experience in the energy sector, with a focus on energy transition, business strategy, and operational excellence. Ms. Acanfora holds a Master of Science in Management from Università Bocconi and a CEMS Master in International Management from WU Vienna, as well as a bachelor's degree in Economics for Business Management from the University of Naples Federico II. She also completed the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) at Harvard Business School. Her industry career spans roles of increasing responsibility within Enel, including positions in global business development, customer care operations, and strategic market analysis. She has led cross-functional initiatives in over nine countries and collaborated with public-private networks through her fellowship with the World Economic Forum’s Net Zero Carbon Cities program. Ms. Acanfora is an active contributor to thought leadership in sustainability and innovation, with publications on integrated energy solutions, renewable energy de-risking, and urban transformation.

BERNARDO-NICOLETTI
Bernardo Nicoletti Subject Matter Expert in Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Benrnardo is a distinguished academic and executive consultant with over 40 years of international experience in engineering, operations, digital transformation, and strategic consulting. He holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, where he was awarded the AEM Prize for Best Graduate, and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained through a Fulbright Scholarship from the U.S. Government. He also earned a scholarship to the Chicago School of Economics to pursue an MBA. In academia, he has served as a professor since 1981, beginning at the University of Naples, followed by appointments at the University of Calabria, LUISS, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Temple University Rome, and numerous other Italian institutions. He has taught in disciplines such as Operations Management, Procurement, and Systems Theory, with experience in executive education across Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Professionally, he held executive positions at multinational companies, including CIO for GE Oil & Gas, CTO at GE Consumer Finance, and CIO Latin America for AIG, with global assignments in Italy, the U.K., the U.S., and Argentina. His consulting career spans sectors such as logistics, finance, insurance, construction, and ICT, advising clients including BNL, Alitalia, Generali, Deutsche Bank, and Intesa Sanpaolo. He has led EU-funded research in transportation and telematics, coordinated strategic transformation initiatives, and served as a speaker and instructor for organizations such as Confindustria, LUISS Business School, and Federmanager Academy. He has authored and co-authored over 30 books and numerous scholarly articles. Currently, he is Program Director in the Master in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at Rome Business School and continues to contribute to academic and corporate innovation through education, advisory, and thought leadership, particularly active in the application of Lean Six Sigma to Financial Institutions. Bernardo has been particularly active in the application of Lean Six Sigma to Financial Institutions. He calls his approach 'Lean & Digitize' and over time has developed a specific methodology as a way to reduce costs and improve quality, bringing value to the Business. He is also “Cultore della Materia” at University of Tor Vergata, Rome, in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He is also Certified Innovation Manager.

Daniele Maver Senior Advisor and Lecturer

Daniele Maver is a seasoned business executive with over 40 years of experience in the automotive and finance industries. He began his career in 1984 at Ford Italia before joining Nissan Italia, where he played a key role in the start-up and development of the National Sales Company. Over a 12-year tenure at Nissan, he held several senior national positions—including Chief Financial Officer and Sales & Marketing Director—as well as international assignments. Notably, he led the launch of Nissan's captive finance company, serving as Managing Director for four years. In 2000, he joined Ford Motor Company in the United Kingdom and, by 2002, was appointed Managing Director of Ford Credit Italia, the financial services arm of the Ford Group. Since May 2007, he has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Land Rover Italia, overseeing the brand's operations, strategy, and growth within the Italian market until 2021. He has extensive expertise in business strategy, finance, and operations, with significant contributions to mergers and acquisitions, financial product development, and dealer network management. He is currently a faculty member at LUISS Business School, teaching courses on Smart Mobility, Automotive Marketing, and Brand Management. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Università L. Bocconi and a degree in Business Economics from Università La Sapienza, Rome, he is also a qualified professional accountant (Dottore Commercialista), writer of articles on Automotive strategic transformation on major newspaper (Repubblica) and magazines (ItaliaInforma), Consultant for Automotive Companies and Retailers

Daniele Monacelli Operation & Maintenance Manager

Daniele Monacelli is currently an Operation & Maintenance Manager for photovoltaic plants at Enel Green Power, with over 13 years of professional experience in the energy sector. He is also a lecturer at the Rome Business School. He has a solid academic background in Management Engineering (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Rome Tor Vergata), is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the same university, and holds a specialized Master’s degree in Operation & Maintenance from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. He has accumulated more than 9 years of experience in teaching and in technical and managerial training. Throughout his career, he has held roles of increasing responsibility at both national and international levels in areas such as industrial risk management, development of innovative projects, sustainability, and continuous improvement in renewable technologies (solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal). He has led technical and strategic consulting projects in collaboration with global companies, including coordinating cross-technology initiatives in over 20 countries. He is the author of technical contributions and actively involved in applied research projects, with professional recognitions including the Envision Sustainability Professional certification and the ECDL.

FEDERICA TROVATO
Federica Trovato Alternate Auditor at Automobil Club d'Italia

Federica has gained 20 years of experience as a lawyer. She served as Legal Adviser for Albacom and Valore Italia Holding di Partecipazioni S.p.A., and worked as a lawyer at Studio Legale Unghi e Nunziante and Grimaldi Studio Legale. She was a Member of the Board of Directors at AEQUA ROMA S.P.A. and a Member of the Supervisory Board at Ama S.p.A. Meanwhile, she began her academic career: for the past 27 years, she has been an Assistant Professor in Company and Commercial Law at LUISS Guido Carli, and for the last 8 years, a Professor in Business Law at the University of Arkansas Rome Center (UARC). In 2016, she became Managing Partner at the law firm Donativi e Associati. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors at BancoPosta Fondi S.p.A. SGR and an Alternate Auditor at Automobil Club d’Italia. She is an expert in financial markets and M&A from a regulatory perspective.

Giuseppe Serrecchia Head of Technologies and Architectures — Global ICT

Giuseppe Serrecchia is Head of Technologies and Architectures at Enel Group’s Global ICT division, where he directs enterprise-wide digital infrastructure strategy and innovation. With over 33 years of professional experience in software engineering, digital transformation, and IT leadership, he has held CTO roles in major media and publishing organizations, including Edizioni Condé Nast and Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso. Dr. Serrecchia holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering from Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza.” He has led global digital enablement programs within Enel Green Power and played a central role in designing ICT architectures across multinational operations.

Extensive network of relationships with top management of government agencies and large companies operating in different business types (Defense, Finance, Utilities, Public Administration, Telco). Extensive knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies (Project Management Professional - PMP Certification) based on major multi-million dollar international projects, including EU-funded projects and Italy's recovery and resilience plan. Marshall Langer Program Director of Master in Finance

Marshall Langer is a native of Miami, Florida. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has additionally taken extensive graduate coursework in Counseling Psychology at New York University. Marshall enjoyed a 12-year career in diverse business and finance sectors in the U.S. and Europe. He has worked on Wall Street on investment banking and risk arbitrage for firms like Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as well as in trading for BNP Paribas. He further worked in the areas of corporate management, marketing strategy, management consulting, and real estate and he is also a Trained Group Counselor. Marshall has also taught at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Fordham University, University of Connecticut, Luiss University, and The American University of Rome. Marshall authored UN agency FAO Course guide: Fundamentals of International Business Management (Rome, 2006) and co-authored of Leveraged Buyouts (Rome, Kappa, 2012).

Massimiliano Tarantino Head of Business Development Repowering and Refurbishment

Massimiliano Tarantino is Head of Business Development for Repowering and Refurbishment at Enel Green Power, where he leads strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency and operational lifespan of renewable energy assets. With over 24 years of professional experience in the energy sector, Mr. Tarantino has held successive leadership roles across business development, procurement, and sales within Enel Group. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Politecnico di Bari. His academic engagements include guest lectures and collaborations with university programs on sustainable energy and infrastructure finance. Mr. Tarantino has led cross-border renewable energy projects across Southern Europe and Latin America, establishing partnerships with government institutions and multinational firms. His certifications include “Principles of Valuation: Time Value of Money” and “Corporate Finance Essentials”, underscoring his expertise in investment appraisal and strategic planning.

Valentino Megale is a tech entrepreneur, biologist, and innovation advocate specializing in mental well-being through immersive technologies and data monitoring. He is the CEO and co-founder of Softcare Studios, a digital health startup that leverages advanced technologies to enhance medical treatments and support patients’ mental health. Valentino has over 7 years of professional experience in the digital health sector. He holds a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the "D’Annunzio" University of Chieti, with international experience in Austria and France. He is also an online lecturer in immersive technologies at the Web Marketing Festival and serves as Program Director and lecturer at Rome Business School. His academic background spans 6 years, focusing on neuropharmacology and biotechnology. Throughout his career, he has received several awards, including “Best E-Health Startup” at the Startup Europe Awards, and has taken part in international acceleration programs such as Accelerace and TMCx. The admission process is aimed to verify the candidate’s eligibility to attend the Master in Energy Management. The candidate’s academic history, previous experiences in the topics covered in the Master and motivation will be matters of the evaluation. Once it’s sent, the application will be evaluated by the Rome Business School’s academic committee. In order to ensure the application’s suitability, it is important to deliver all of the required documentation.

Fee

Payment of the participation fee of € 9,400 can be made in the following ways:

  • Installments from moments of enrollment (earlier enrollment for more installments)
  • Full Payment with an additional discount of -10%

Scholarships

Based on their personal profile, experience and proven motivation, the candidate may be awarded a scholarship to partially cover the participation fee.
