The energy industry includes a wide variety of activities and companies; it consists of non-renewable energy (oil and petroleum, gasoline, natural gas, diesel, and nuclear), and renewable energy (hydropower, solar power, and wind power).

Luigi La Pegna has thirty five years of worldwide experience in managing large investments from aero spatial (2 years working for European Space Agency), Oil & Gas (9 years with Mannesmann Anlagenbau AG), civil and infrastructures for high speed trains (3 years with Italian National Railways), energy from renewable and conventional sources (over 20 years with Enel Group) He has registered five International Patents for Innovative Wind turbines together with worldwide known designers.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome, with further specializations in General Management (Northwestern University, Chicago and Harvard University, Boston) and several Masters in Administration, Finance & Control.

Luca Traini, Political Scientist and Business Development Expert with experience in sustainable development, energy and water sectors. Currently in RES4Africa Foundation as Access2Energy Programme Manager.  With ten years of experience in an international environment, he had the opportunity to work in European, African and Asian countries as Business Development Expert and in Tanzania as Country Manager. Mr. Traini holds a Master Degree in International Relations.​

Eros Manzo holds a Master degree in Social Science, He is a Project Manager in EU funded Contracts within the Technical Assistance unit. He has more than 10 years of experience in planning, management, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of International Development Projects. Well familiar with EU Instrument Pre-Acquis (IPA); European Development Fund (EDF); European Neighborhood and Partnership Instruments (ENPI); Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) procedures; EU Procurement procedures (PRAG) and other Donors such us World Bank, UN agencies. He is often involved in creating partnership at international level and maintaining formal and operative agreement. He has extensive program/project cycle management experience for government-funded and private projects covering analysis on relevant donor requirements (e.g., EC Financial Regulation, application and implementation procedures, procurement guidelines).

She founded her own human resources consulting service in the Middle East, focusing on personal skills.  A few years ago she moved to Washington D.C. where she graduated from Georgetown University's Leadership Coaching program and founded 2ndStep, which focuses on Leadership Coaching. For the past 15 years, Veronika has been intensely committed to her personal and professional development, using her vast experience to best serve her clients. She has lived and worked in 8 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America.

The candidate’s academic history, previous experiences in the topics covered in the Master and motivation will be matters of the evaluation.
