Rome Business School last week welcomed the 1647 students of the October 2024 intake, 60% female and 40% male, who began their training with Welcome Week, seven days on campus filled with meetings and workshops with professors and top managers from companies such as Microsoft, Bvlgari, KPMG, and Google, for a full immersion in the world of business.
During the first week at Rome Business School, students have the opportunity to interact with companies and professors through workshops, meetings and activities aimed at exploring career opportunities, understanding the teaching methodology and receiving suggestions from professionals from various sectors, such as HR and managers from IBM, AstraZeneca, Rai Cinema, Tableau, with the participation of a total of 22 leading companies worldwide. The students also meet their Programme Directors, including those of the new Master’s courses, introduced to meet the new needs of the labour market, and in search of profiles with international experience, experts open to inclusiveness and diversity, and who stand out in adaptability, soft skills and digital competences. A full immersion in the world of business. Among the various activities planned at Welcome Week is the Leaders of Tomorrow, aimed at fostering connections, discussion and key skills to be developed during the master’s course, as well as several off-campus tours to discover Rome and the opportunities it offers. During their first week, students also come into contact with the Career Centre, to identify the career path best suited to them, enhanced from the first weeks by individual meetings, workshops and meetings with career coaches, HR consultants and recruiters, and Company Meetings with companies such as Sony, Ferrari, NTT Data.
In addition to the academic activities, the students were able to discover Rome through guided tours, exploring the art and history of the city of Rome. The tour started from the Circus Maximus and ended in Trastevere, a district in the heart of Rome full of art and music. An opportunity for our students to discover the city in all its beauty.
In this new year, 63 programmes are on offer including Masters, MBAs, Executive courses, 23 Program Directors, part of a faculty of 237 teachers, 59% of whom are international. Rome Business School for new students broadens its offer and enriches its academic activities by proposing 6 new Masters with partners such as Oracle, Novo Nordisk, Unilever and Enel; it intensifies the number of hours of lessons, expands the customisation of the study path that allows each student to choose from 23 specific elective courses, and increases the number of partner companies to 1,284, including EY, Oracle and Toyota involved in a variety of activities such as the Business Practice Lab, Company Shadowing and Capstone Project.
Students in this intake have access to fundamental knowledge about trends in today’s global market, thanks to the addition of the Global Trends Lab. Its objective is to increase students’ awareness of global trends that are being intercepted for profitable future opportunities. Students will then have to create a comprehensive analysis report focusing on a business phenomenon derived from the trends observed and identified by the students themselves using different sources. Topics covered will include the Future of Work, the Ethics of AI and Big Data, and future world scenarios to 2030. Finally, thanks to CEO for 1 Day, MBA students will have the opportunity to spend a day following a top Chief Executive in his activities, thus learning about their responsibilities and complexities in leading a company.
As early as Welcome Week, students also experienced the internationality and impact of the study programme in terms of knowledge, skills and networking, meeting their fellow students from 153 different countries. During the Master’s course, they have the opportunity to take part in study experiences abroad and in Italy: Bootcamps in Silicon Valley, Doha, Lagos, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Tuscany, and finally the Grand Tour including Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. The Rome Business School student’s international experience continues after the Master: 83% of students work in companies operating globally, 72% in multinationals, 55% in Italy, 21% in Europe, 9% in the Americas and Asia, and 6% in Africa ( Employment Report 2024). Students will also be able to join a global network of more than 10,000 alumni in 161 countries to build relationships, attend workshops, get career advice and exclusive benefits.
