The Dean of the School of Business Economics and Management at the Hebei University of Technology, along with the Director and Professor of the EMBA and EDP programmes and several other faculty members, visited the Rome Business School’s campus and had a meeting with Marco Rosci, Head of the Rome Business School Marketing Department.
The meeting started with a greeting and a presentation of the Rome Business School’s mission, master programmes, and possibilities for cooperation. After the presentation, the university’s officials discussed the variety of possibilities open to both institutions. In particular, the possibility to offer the Rome Business School students international study tours in China, and the possibilities for the enrolment of Chinese students at the RBS were the main points discussed.
The meeting concluded with an invitation, made by the Hebei University of Technology, for the Rome Business School Management board to visit the University’s campus in China and explore all the academic and business opportunities that a country such as China provides.
At the end, the Rome Business School team and the Hebei University officials exchanged gifts, and expressed their willingness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding which would lead to a successful and long term cooperation.
The Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) was founded in 1903. Since its establishment, HEBUT has always adhered to its motto of ‘Diligence, Prudence, Devotion and Loyalty’ in coaching students and conducting research, and has gradually developed a distinctive didactic approach in which academic learning and engineering practice are equally stressed.
HEBUT runs 69 undergraduate programmes, embracing a wide range of disciplines that include engineering, science, economics, management, art, and law. Forty-two disciplines are authorized to award doctorate degrees, 131 are authorized to offer master’s or professional degrees. HEBUT is the first engineering-based university in China to launch an MBA programme. At the same time, it is the only university in the Hebei province to offer an EMBA education.
