We asked to an expert of the HR sector, Alessio Campi – HR Manager of HAYS, to give you some tips and shortcuts on how to build a winning write an interview-winning cover letter and resume that will impress the employer.

You probably already know that just sending your resume and cover letter it’s not enough, you need to make sure these two documents have been written in a proper way to catch the attention of the headhunters or the company leaders so that they will get you an interview. 

This will be the main topic of our online workshop, as follow we will give you a brief introduction of some of the aspects that we will discuss during the lesson.

There are some main tricks to write a catchy resume, If you take some time to tailor it for each job you apply for, and you write a targeted cover letter that shows the employer why you’re a strong match for the job, you will increase the odds of getting selected for an interview.

You need to show the hiring manager that you’ve got the qualifications they are looking for. 

1. Step one: Decide for which jobs you are going to apply!

You need to consider two main points:

  • Your interest
  • If your skills match the job positions that you are willing to apply

If you haven’t ever thought about your strength point, start by writing down your studies, your past and present working experiences and the mansions you had to cover during them. Once you’ve finish it, read the document that you’ve produced back again…you will be surprised to recognize how many competencies you already have!

Now is time to elaborate and properly edit all this information.

2. Step Two: Review Resume, Cover Letter, and CV Samples 

Throughout your job search and subsequent career, you will need to be able to write a job-related letter, resume, and summary. You can actually review our sample resumes, cover letters and thank you letters or as well surf a little bit on the net and find something that you like more or catch your attention. Choose few different samples and use them as a reference point to edit your personal informations.

3. Step Three: Know which are the resumeand cover letter mistakes that you have to avoid!

typo or a grammatical error in a cover letter, a resume, or in a job application can be enough to knock you out of contention for a job. Writing down information in a wrong order, ca be distracting f who is reading, remember that what needs to be seen immediate are you contacts a brief introduction of yourself and your job experiences. A wrong font! Your CV has to be legible and clear; no one wants read something that is difficult to understand. Too long! Remember, a good resume doesn’t have to be too long, usually headhunter or HR managers don’t have time to read too many pages.

7. How to Prepare Job Applications and Portfolios

During the workshop we will teach you everything you need to know to complete an employment application, including how to apply for jobs online, via email, and in person. Includin samples, examples, and advice on the best way to apply.
