Equip yourself with general core knowledge in management, and specialize in Sustainability Management and Circular Bioeconomy.

You will learn how to re-think businesses and create value, by addressing topics such as; the physical dimensions of sustainability, the scope of smart cities, renewable energy, and principles and benefits of sustainability management and circular bioeconomy.

During the first module of the International Master in Sustainability and Circular Bioeconomy Management, students will learn notions of:

Two case studies from two genuine firms will be provided to you so that you can put your master’s course knowledge to the test.

Alessandro Franceschini​

Alessandro Franceschini has thirty years of experience in the world of solidarity and sustainable economy. Today he is President of Altromercato, the most important Italian Fair Trade company.

He conceived and coordinated until 2019 Festival4Passi in Treviso, one of the most important national events in the sector. From 2010 to 2016 he was president of Equo Garantito, the national trade association of Fair Trade. Author of numerous articles on sustainable economy, he wrote the essay “Let’s take back the earth!” (Altreconomia 2009) with a preface by Carlin Petrini, founder of Slow Food. In 2021 the essay “Consume or Choose? The power of sustainability to change the economy”, with a preface by Don Luigi Ciotti

The essay has met with an excellent reception with two editions and over 60 public presentations throughout Italy. In 2024 he published with Duccio Facchini, director of the monthly Altreconomia, the essay “The Sovereigns of Food – Speculation and resistance behind what we eat” (Altreconomia editions). Since 2020 he has been a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Rome Business School.

JEAN-BAPTISTE DECOPPET
Jean-Baptiste Decoppet Energy Analyst at RES4Africa Foundation

Jean-Baptiste has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Energy Management and Sustainability at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. He wrote his Master Thesis in Cameroon, trying to identify new solar systems adapted to medical use and select the most suited for rural health facilities. He was Business Development Officer at upOwa, leader in Solar Home Systems distribution and retail in Cameroon. Now he is Energy Analyst at RES4Africa Foundation.

The admissions process’s purpose is to certify a candidate’s eligibility to enrol in the International Master of Sustainability and Circular Bioeconomy Management. When evaluating candidates, the academic background, prior experiences in the Master’s programme themes, and motivation will all be taken into account. Following submission, the application will be examined by the Rome Business School’s academic committee. It is critical to include all required documentation in order to ensure the application’s acceptability.
