Executive Master in Arts and Culture Management’s Overview

The Executive Master in Art Management is an advanced training programme offered by Rome Business School for art professionals and enthusiasts who wish to acquire specific management skills in the art sector. The programme is taught in Italian and is delivered in-person in Rome, Italy, providing students with a hands-on, immersive experience in one of the world’s most vibrant cultural capitals. The course lasts for one year, offering a comprehensive and intensive learning journey.

The programme is designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage art organisations, art galleries, museums, auction houses, cultural foundations and other entities in the field of art and culture.

During the course, students will gain an in-depth understanding of key aspects of art management, including cultural marketing, financial management, arts legislation, exhibition management, art heritage valorisation, and strategic planning in the context of art.

Francesca Chialà boasts over 20 years of interdisciplinary professional experience, integrating managerial consulting, innovation, communication, and the arts. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and a DocuFilm Director for RAI. Francesca holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Sapienza University of Rome and a postgraduate specialization in Communication from S3-Studium, along with an International Certification in Business Coaching (WABC).

With extensive teaching experience in management education and master’s programs, she combines academic rigor with practical skills.
Her industry roles include Business Coach and Executive Trainer at Miller Heiman Group, Communications Director at Business International (The Economist Group), and Digital Marketing Manager at HRLink.

 

Francesca has provided international consulting services, particularly for SEBRAE in Brazil on SME internationalization, and is also a recognized TED Speaker. Her accolades include the “Good Practices” International Award (European Parliament, 2020) and the Maria Callas Award (Columbia University, 2019).

Eleonora Pacetti is an accomplished opera professional with over 20 years of experience spanning artistic direction, casting, and mentorship in the international opera scene. She currently lectures at Rome Business School and is Co-Founder of Finale Produzioni, a media production company focused on music and cultural projects. Pacetti holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi, a diploma in piano performance with top honors from the Conservatorio G.B. Martini, and has completed important courses at Universität Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of Cambridge. She has directed the Young Artist Program at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and has coached globally for institutions including Opéra Comique, Opera for Peace, and major recording labels. A frequent juror for prestigious competitions, including the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition, Pacetti has also contributed to projects under UNESCO and the Teatro alla Scala. She is a recognized authority on operatic career development.

Cristina Da Milano is President of ECCOM (European Centre for Cultural Organization and Management), and a leading expert in arts and culture management and education with over 29 years of professional experience. She serves on the expert task force for PNRR implementation at Regione Marche, and is a member of the Disorderly Women (Alliance of Women Leaders in Culture) and the International Council of Museums (ICOM). She has over two decades of university-level teaching experience at institutions like LUISS, Tor Vergata, and the American University of Rome, and her work includes European project leadership, museum strategy, audience development, and cultural policy. She has also served on key boards, including Culture Action Europe (Vice President), Teatro di Roma, and the Italian Ministry of Culture’s National Museum System Commission. Da Milano holds a degree in Classical Studies with an archaeological focus from Sapienza University of Rome, an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and completed postgraduate studies in cultural economics at the University of Ferrara.

Giulia Centonze brings professional experience in the fine art sector, currently serving as Junior Specialist in Post-war and Contemporary Art at Christie’s, Rome. She oversees client relations, pricing, valuations, and the production of auction catalogues, while coordinating key sales activities. Ms Centonze holds a Master of Science in Management for the Arts, Culture, Media, and Entertainment from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, complemented by an exchange program at Aalto University, Helsinki. Her career encompasses extensive roles in art cataloguing, client management, and art market research within leading institutions, including Christie’s, Nextam Partners and private collections. Giulia combines academic expertise with practical industry knowledge, contributing to art authentication and valuation processes. She holds professional certifications such as the DELF and Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD). Her work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing the field of art management and contemporary art studies.

Alessandro Zucconi has over 28 years of professional experience in hospitality, tourism, and destination marketing. He currently serves as Professor of Digital Tourism at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he teaches courses related to tourism strategy, cultural heritage, and digital innovation. Alessandro holds a degree in Linguistics from Sapienza University of Rome. With more than a decade of university-level teaching experience, he has also held academic positions at Fondazione ITS Turismo and Roma Tre University, contributing to master’s programs and specialized courses. His industry experience spans leadership roles including General Manager at Multichain Software and Hotel Grifo, as well as senior consultancy positions focused on sustainable tourism and destination management. Agnese Angelini is a Creative Project Manager and Brand Designer with a vast professional experience specializing in sustainable and ethical business practices (over 30 years). She currently serves as a faculty member at Rome Business School, teaching courses on Ethics in Branding and Customer Experience, and at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, where she leads Strategic Branding and Sustainable Fashion courses. Angelini holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Graphic Design from Enrico Cogno & Associa Design School and is pursuing a Degree in History of Art at the University of Napoli. Her teaching career spans more than a decade across multiple institutions including Florence Institute of Design and Polimoda. For 13 years, she has been the Director of Marketing and Promotion Office at the Teatro Olimpico. She has 14 years of experience as a Manager of Marketing Services and Direct Sales at Italiatour S.p.A., an Alitalia group company, and later became its CEO. She has also served as the Director of Marketing, Development, and External Relations at the Fondazione Romaeuropa and as the Event Director at Expoglobe SRL.

The admission process is aimed to verify the candidate’s eligibility to attend the Executive Master in Art and Culture Management. The candidate’s academic history, previous experiences in the topics covered in the Master and motivation will be matters of the evaluation. Once it’s sent, the application will be evaluated by the Rome Business School’s academic committee. In order to ensure the application’s suitability, it is important to deliver all of the required documentation.

Payment of the participation fee of € 9,400 can be made in the following ways:

Based on their personal profile, experience and proven motivation, the candidate may be awarded a scholarship to partially cover the participation fee.
