Rome Business School: the only Italian Business School in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026

  • For the second consecutive year, Rome Business School is the only Italian Business School included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
  • Among the 18 indicators evaluated, the following stand out: student internationality (65%), high-quality faculty (28% with PhD or MBA), faculty-student ratio (10:1), and published research reports (14 per year).

Rome Business School is confirmed, for the second consecutive year, as the only Italian Business School included in the World University Rankings of Times Higher Education. The reconfirmation as a reporter in the ranking demonstrates the constant commitment to transparency in sharing data and information useful for studying the main trends in the higher education sector worldwide.

A total of 2,091 institutions were analyzed by the WUR in this edition under 18 different indicators, distributed across five areas of investigation: teaching, research, international environment, and industry sector, the latter referring to the ability to transfer knowledge and innovation to businesses and institutions. In the 2026 edition, Rome Business School was reconfirmed with reporter status after participating in a rigorous and transparent evaluation process, providing data and analysis useful for building a reliable and comparable global framework.

Among the elements that contributed to the recognition, the results related to teaching stand out. Rome Business School has a student/faculty ratio of 10 to 1, a figure that translates into a more personalized educational experience and direct support for students’ growth paths. Reinforcing this approach is a faculty composed of over 252 lecturers, of which 34% are international, hailing from countries such as France, Canada, Germany, and the United States, thus bringing diversified academic and professional skills into the classroom.

Internationality is prominent not only among the faculty but also within the student body: 65% of students come from abroad, representing 136 countries. This cultural variety fosters an environment of daily discussion and exchange of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds. Furthermore, 11 study experiences are offered in different destinations including China, Doha, Lagos, London, Silicon Valley, Paris, Porto, and Barcelona, allowing participants to study different methodological approaches and analyze business cases at the foreign offices of companies such as Meta, Dior, Microsoft, and Accenture.

“The confirmation for the second consecutive year reflects the commitment of our academic community and the desire to open up increasingly to the world, with the goal of creating real opportunities for growth, exchange, and impact on our students’ futures. – declares Antonio Ragusa, Dean of Rome Business School.

Alongside the didactic dimension, the activity carried out by the Dissemination Research Center is given central importance in the evaluation. 14 annual reports are produced, which are in-depth analyses of hot topics and future challenges, aimed at stimulating debate on strategic issues for the future. Research conducted includes analyses on the phenomenon of delisting in Europe, salary and career trends, the energy transition in Italy and Europe, as well as studies dedicated to tourism, smart cities, or artificial intelligence.

“With the Research Center, we work so that research does not remain confined to the academic sphere, but is accessible to media and the public, observers capable of stimulating reflection and guiding informed decisions.” – adds Valerio Mancini, Director of the Dissemination Research Center at Rome Business School.

To date in 2025, 9 international awards have been obtained, including Rankings and Ratings, such as: QS World University Ranking, Positive Impact, and the Interdisciplinary Science Ranking. These collective attestations confirm the Business School as one of the main reference points for management education in Italy and worldwide.
