Project Management


The acquisition of a 360° global vision of the management of a project, based upon strictly defined project management competencies and technical tools, upon team building capabilities and upon effective change management abilities along all the phases of the management of a project (from planning to realisation, to monitoring, to concluding).



Intended recipients of this course are project managers and anyone wishing to lead a project in a structured and effective way.



The Project: definition of Project and difference with “functional” activity, causes of failure and success factors in a project
The 4 phases of a project:define, plan, execute, conclude
The definition of the objectives, financial and operational planning, project risk definition
The implementation of the project, monitoring (“S” curves) and closing
The management of a project team along seven key phases:establishing a contact, exploring, adapting, brainstorming, effectiveness, creativity, conclusion
Change management along the whole project
The causes of resistance to the change induced by the project
The actors of change: sponsors, users/customers, agents of change, leaders
The leadership of change
The virtuous circle of change along the lifecycle of the project


Teaching methods

In line with the Rome Business School’s general approach and the best international standards, the course is designed with the aim of providing excellent training with an emphasis to its concrete application in the job, professional and company markets.

Therefore, the course involves both mainly one way teaching phases – to accurately transfer the reference conceptual models – and practical application sessions aimed at developing your operational and management capabilities.

Your progress in the subjects taught will be tested and consolidated through exercises related to actual managerial cases.

The course offers a structured classroom training based upon theory, exercises, role playing and simulations; based most of all upon the feedback provided to the attendees relatively to their Project Manager profile, along the three lines of: technical competency, team building ability and change management abilities.
